Declutter your home without burning out in a single weekend
Slow, room-by-room, guilt-free. A six week plan for anyone who lives in a real home with real life in it.
You do not need to binge a minimalism documentary and bin half your possessions on a Sunday night. Most homes do not need a reset, they need a rhythm.
This is a slow, six week plan that fits around work, kids, pets, and the fact that you are a person, not a magazine spread.

Items most people no longer use
Start with one drawer, not one room
The classic mistake is to block out a whole Saturday for the spare room and end up surrounded by piles, exhausted, more stressed than when you started.
Pick one drawer, one shelf, one cupboard. Give yourself twenty minutes. Stop at the end of twenty minutes even if it is not finished.
The six week rhythm
- 1
Week one: kitchen drawers and one cupboard.
- 2
Week two: bathroom surfaces and expired products.
- 3
Week three: wardrobe, one category at a time (t-shirts, then shoes, then coats).
- 4
Week four: paperwork, digital and physical.
- 5
Week five: sentimental items. Slowly. Keep more than you think.
- 6
Week six: maintenance. Walk around once, put away anything out of place.
The three bag system
Donate
In good condition, someone else would use it, you have not used it in a year.
Bin
Broken, expired, unsafe, or genuinely not giftable.
Maybe
Put in a sealed box with a date six months ahead. If you have not opened the box by then, donate the contents without looking.
